Welcome to Geeveston Town Hall, a historic landmark and vibrant community hub in the heart of Geeveston, Tasmania. Our Visitor Centre is dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of our town while providing valuable services and a warm welcome to all visitors.
Our Story
Geeveston Town Hall, built in the early 1900s, has been a cornerstone of our community for over a century. Originally serving as the town's civic center, it has witnessed numerous historical events and transformations. Today, it houses the Geeveston Town Hall Visitor Centre, offering a blend of history, culture, and community spirit. Featured in ABC TV's series 'Rosehaven,' our Town Hall is an iconic symbol of Geeveston's apple-growing and forestry heritage.

Our mission is to provide a welcoming space where visitors can learn about our rich history, enjoy local art and crafts, and participate in community events. Geeveston Town Hall is more than just a visitor centre; it is a vital part of our community. We host various events and programs, including the monthly Geeveston FEAST, which brings locals and visitors together to meet and eat. Our Artist-in-Residence Program and other initiatives provide spaces for artists to create and showcase their work, enriching our community's cultural life.
